The Fabia Estate was rewarded by the Daily Telegraph for its 'green' credentials
Skoda's Fabia Estate has been voted Best Green Estate Car by the Daily Telegraph, it emerged today.
The 1.4 TDI Greenline model boasts just 109 g/km of C02 emissions, which is down to a number of things: the diesel particulate filter fitted to the engine, the raised front bumper and improved aerodynamics.
The Fabia Greenline Estate, just like its hatchback counterpart, is Skoda's most fuel efficient model and sits in VED band B.
Robert Hazelwood, Skoda's brand director, commented: "The Fabia Greenline Estate offers a unique proposition in the market, as it has the fuel efficiency and cleanliness you'd expect from a small green car but with a lot more load space.
"It is the ideal car for today's market, where prices at the pump are at an all-time high and environmental concerns are a priority for drivers."
The most recent addition to the Fabia range, the spacious super-mini estate is currently available in the UK and offers class-leading 1,460-litres of storage space.
Prices range between £9,360 and £13,775, while the 1.4 TDI Greenline model is priced at £12,145.
The Fabia Estate comes with four additional speakers, air conditioning, remote central locking, height adjustable passenger seats and side mouldings as standard. Optional extras include climatronic air conditioning and rear electric windows.
