Evening auction programme launched in Birmingham
Wednesday, 25 Jun 2008 11:46
Manheim auctions are geared towards both casual and trade buyers
Manheim's Birmingham auction centre, located in Darlaston, has launched a programme of weekly evening auctions aimed at attracting both the general public and trade buyers.
The auctions are scheduled to take place each Wednesday evening from 18:00 to 20:30.
The first two evening auctions in Birmingham took place on the 11th and 18th June, with strong attendances from both the public and trade buyers alike.
Those who turned up successfully bid on more than 100 cars, with an average selling price of just under £1,400.
Simon Wells, auction centre manager, said: "I knew there would demand in Birmingham for an evening auction offering a good range of vehicles at sensible prices.
"The attendances and results achieved at the first two auctions were very encouraging and give us a good foundation to develop and grow this programme in the future."
Manheim’s Birmingham auction centre is located at Whitworth Close, which is just off Heath Road in Darlaston.
