Proton announce spring sale
Proton Cars have announced a number of deals for would-be buyers to consider over the spring period.
First of all, they have slashed £750 off the list price for the Proton Savvy. Marketed as a city car, it features a 1.2-litre engine, reverse distance sensors, spacious interior, boot capacity of 909 litres with the seats down and ABS with EBD as standard. If bought during the sale period (before the end of June 2008) the car will also come with 15" alloy wheels, air conditioning, front fog lamps and electric front windows.
Next up there is the GEN-2, marketed as a family car. Sister company Lotus provide a 1.6-litre 16v CamPro engine and a branded interior. Also £500 has been knocked off the list price, with the GEN-2 1.3 and 1.6 GLS MT models now available for £8,495 OTR.
The GEN-2 1.6 GSX comes with climate control (plus pollen filter), twin side airbags, electric door mirrors and rear windows, front fog lamps and tailgate spoiler, as well as having £1,000 cut from the list price and a leather interior worth another £1,000 included gratis.
The latest addition to the GEN-2 range is also included in the sale. The GEN-2 saloon has £1,000 off the list price and doesn't skimp on the features, including an integrated MP3-capable Blaupunkt radio/CD player, climate control with pollen filter, electric windows, front fog lamps and electric door mirrors. This model will be available for £9,795 OTR.
The Lotus-inspired Satria Neo is the final range on the deal, with £750 off 1.6 GSX models. It is available in both manual and automatic, boasting 0-60 in 11.5 seconds, 111bhp and a top speed of 118mph. Prices start from £9,245 on the road and include 16-inch alloy wheels with Continental Sport tyres, climate control, electric mirrors, front fog lamps and a rear spoiler.
