Formula One star's father crashes into children's playground

Lewis Hamilton's father crashed into a children's playground yesterday
Anthony Hamilton, father of the Formula One driver Lewis, has been involved in a car crash 200 metres from his home.
The incident, which occurred yesterday, saw Mr Hamilton career into a children's playground near his home.
A witness stated that the driver of the high-performance Porsche attempted to reverse the vehicle back onto the road near Tewin in Hertfordshire, but failed in his endeavours.
"He was really trying to get it out of there," the bystander told the Times. "In the end his wife walked back to the house and picked him up in another car. She came back a couple of times but we never saw him again. He was really embarrassed."
Mr Hamilton gave up his own career at British Rail in order to keep his son on the path to motoring stardom, taking three jobs in order to do so.
He recently claimed to be the one who came up with the idea for Lewis Hamilton to move to Switzerland for tax purposes.
"It was entirely my idea. I always said to him that, if he started to make any money, he would have to move abroad," he said in February.
Police were called to the site of the crash yesterday to manage the disruption caused to regular traffic. Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the incident.
