Infiniti set for European launch

Luxury car brand Infiniti is set for launch in the western European car market.

The company describes the market as the "toughest luxury market in the world", but hopes its range of performance sedans, coupes and crossovers will appeal to savvy consumers.

Infinity has been in existence for almost 20 years and has chosen this milestone to make the move across the Atlantic from its American base.

It will launch its range at the Geneva Motor Show, which begins in the Swiss city on March 4th.

Leading the brands charge on the market will be the "iconic" FX performance crossover - the first time the vehicle has been seen outside of America.

Infiniti will also unveil the rest of its line-up of performance cars, tailored for the European market: the V6 powered G Sedan, G coupe and EX coupe crossover.

This portfolio of products will be launched across Europe, together with the second generation FX, from October 2008.
