Maserati wins luxury brand of the year award

Maserati has today announced it has won the 2007-8 'Luxury Retail Brand of the Year' accolade at the Spear's Wealth Management awards last night.

Held at Sotheby's in London, the ceremony celebrates those in the high net worth (HNW) world, apparently.

Maserati, according to the judging panel, achieved "notable development in status and brand position" in the HNW community.

William Cash, founder of the Spear's Wealth Management Survey, was on hand to present the award to Maserati GB's managing director, Andrea Antonnicola.

"I am exceedingly proud of collecting this award on behalf of Maserati and of all my colleagues at the headquarters in Italy," said Mr Antonnicola.

"We couldn't have asked for a more prestigious recognition of our efforts to carve a prominent and stable place in the world of luxury.

"Being selected among other nominees such as Cartier, Patek Philippe and Bentley to name but a few, makes this award even more significant."
