Chevrolet Epica saloon cruises into view
Chevrolet - Britain's fastest-growing value car brand - is to move into a new area of the market, with the announcement of the Epica.
A saloon, the Epica is aimed at the economy end of the market, and has been designed by the American marquee "to be smooth and efficient, yet also incredibly compact."
It comes with a choice of engines, a six-cylinder, 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre 150PS four-cylinder diesel engine (which will have the option of automatic transmission).
The Epica will also be available in two trim levels, LS and LT.
Both versions have standard equipment which includes air conditioning, cruise control, electric front and rear windows, a CD-stereo with MP3 input socket, remote audio controls, front fog lamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, front, side and curtain airbags and power-adjustable mirrors.
The company has also confirmed LT spec cars will add electronic climate control, rear parking sensors, leather seat trim, heated front seats, rain sensitive wipers, a CD auto-changer, electrochromatic rear view mirror, power-adjustable driver's seat, trip computer, electronic stability control and 17-inch alloys.
The Epica is scheduled to arrive on the forecourts on April 26th, with a price tag of around £13,595.
