Audi Front 225 Special Roadster
Audi will be holding a special exhibition in the Audi museum, with some of the oldest surviving models on display.
The 100 years of Audi exhibition will showcase the world premiere of the rebuilt Audi front 225 Special Roadster and the 1911 Audi Type A.
To commemorate the centenary of Audi, visitors to the Audi Museum, Ingolstadt, will be able to view 13 cars dating from before the Second World War, in an exhibition running from March 11th until July 16th.
The exhibition, "From Horch to Audi - The history of perfection has a new name", will see examples from Audi's early history, including the Audi Front Roadster, on display for the first time. Only two specimens of this prototype were built in 1935, and both have disappeared.
Audi's history will be showcased on a storyboard, which will take the form of a comic strip. Stefan Felber, from the Audi museum mobile, said: "Audi's history is far too exciting for a conventional form of presentation. We have aimed to make it easily comprehensible at first glance, and for children to understand it easily too."
