Clarion has revealed its latest range of AB class amps, stating that they "pack greater power into a more compact design, offering superior installation flexibility and delivering great value for money".

Leading the line is the APA4360, part of the premium APA series. These feature 4/3/2-channel bridgeable mode operation and pump out up to 720 watts (4x180 W into 4 ohms).

One of the major plus points of the premium series is the impressive resistance to magnetic noise. The APA4360 and APA2180 (360 watts at 2/1-channel) also allow for easy subwoofer configuration using the embedded High Pass and Low Pass filters, while two ohm stability allows both amps to drive more power through lower loads for peak performance and unwavering reliability.

Both APA amps boast impressive build quality, with numerous aluminium heat sinks for greater heat dissipation, a white powder coat finish, cut and lacquered fin tops, an inlaid aluminium Clarion plaque and gold-plated block terminals to create low electrical and contact resistance for crystal clear sound.

The APA series is backed up by the APX range of power amplifiers. The APX4241E power amplifier delivers up to 400 watts across 4/3/2-channels, the APX2121E up to 200 watts across 2/1-channel, while the APX1310E Mono amplifier kicks out up to 420 watts of maximum music power.

Like the APA range, each APX model is made from the highest quality materials. The APA4360 and APA2180 are priced at £199 and £149 respectively, while the APX4241E, APX2121E and APX1310E are priced at £149, £89 and £149.
