Audi ushers in new A6 range
Tuesday, 12 Aug 2008 12:04
The new Audi R6 is just part of the range avaible for order this month
The new Audi A6 range will be available to order this month (August), with the first deliveries being made in late October.
The Saloon will be priced at £24,800 and the Avant will be sold for £26,370. An RS 6 Saloon will also be introduced for a November delivery, priced at £76,160.
There has been a major update of the engine line-up, with the emphasis on fuel efficiency. Audi believes the new engines allow for average performance gains of 12 per cent.
A 3.0-litre TFSI petrol unit makes its debut, effectively replacing both the 3.2 FSI V6 and the 4.2 V8.
The advanced 2.0-litre TDI with common rail piezo fuel injection will power the A6 TDIe model. This 136 PS diesel unit replaces the 2.0-litre pump jet injection engine with 140 PS, and later in 2008 will also become available in the A6 in 170PS form.
