Ford dealerships to sell new Focus models from May 1st across UK
A new Ford Focus will go on sale across the UK at official dealerships from May 1st.

Created by Ford's TeamRS, the company's dedicated performance vehicle arm, the 2008 Focus ST will have new exterior and interior styling.

The car will be powered by a 225 PS, 2.5-litre turbocharged five-cylinder Duratec engine, delivering a potential 150mph top speed, as well as going from 0-62mph in 6.8 seconds.

Ford hope the ST can be the definitive choice for enthusiastic drivers, who demand comfort around town alongside the sharp handling and array of subtle of suspension enhancements provided.

Braking is controlled by the electronic stability programme (ESP) and traction control, which are both standard on all versions.

There is a choice of three trim grades (ST, ST-2 and ST-3) for the three or five-door hatchback bodystyles. Prices range from £18,250 to £20,850.

Every model boasts 18-inch five-spoke alloys, sports styling, body-hugging Recaro sports seats, a unique sports steering wheel and upgraded instrumentation.

New to this generation of STs are the Ford Power starter button and the Easyfuel capless refuelling system. The ST-2 trim adds a Sony audio system, bi-xenon lights, LED rear lights and a Quickclear heated windscreen. The ST-3 includes an in-dash six CD player, plus full leather trim.

Hi-tech options that can be specified include a tyre deflation detection system, a new audio connectivity module for external devices like Bluetooth, voice control and navigation systems, plus various infotainment options (an affordable sat nav system with SD card slot, for example).
