G-Wiz I to revolutionise electric vehicle market
Goin Green has announced the launch of the new G-Wiz I – the most advanced variant of its iconic electronic vehicle.
The G-Wiz I follows in the tyre tracks of two earlier models, the G-Wiz DC Drive, which was launched in London May 2004, and the G-Wiz AC Drive, launched June 2006 – and benefits from improvements in safety, comfort and performance.
With a top-speed of 50mph the new model is faster than any previous incarnation, and has a range up to 48 miles per charge.
However, the key difference between the G-Wiz I and its competitors is the car's ability to accelerate.
The vehicle is capable of accelerating to 30mph at a rate 60 per cent quicker than any other electric car, enabling it to easily keep up with London traffic, even up hills.
The G-Wiz I is also upgradeable to high-performance lithium-ion batteries, which are designed to increase range significantly.
Working with Lotus Engineering, Goin Green has also introduced a new safety package, including front and side impact protection, a strengthened space frame, a collapsible steering column, a hill rolling restraint feature and new front disc brakes that deliver a 30 per cent improvement in braking performance.
The G-Wiz I has a colour-impregnated and fully recyclable body; standard colours include marine blue, lightning silver or deep black, and retails from £8,895.
Orders will be taken from February 2008.
