The new Astra TwinTop Exclusiv range promises to cope well in all weather conditions
Vauxhall has released details of its new all-weather convertible range, the Astra TwinTop. With two variants available, the Exclusiv and the Exclusiv XP, Vauxhall are hoping they will bring added style and panache to the four-seater convertible range.

Both models feature a three-piece electro-hydraulic roof, which can raised and lowered in less than 30 seconds, even while moving (at up to 18mph).

The Exclusiv XP model differs from the regular variant by having the VXR styling pack included as standard, with a body-coloured lower front spoiler, rear lower skirt, lip spoiler and side sills.

Both variants can be specified in two new colours - Star Silver and Panacotta - as well as the existing Power Red and Black Sapphire styles. 18-inch alloys, heated leather front seats and keyless entry are all standard features too.

For engine buffs, there is the choice of the 1.8VVT (140 PS) and 2.0-litre Turbo (200 PS) petrol engine, along with the 1.9CDTi (150 PS) diesel engine.

Prices start at £19,295 for the manual 1.8VVT Exclusiv, with the 1.9CDTi costing £21,265. The Exclusiv XP versions with the same engine choices cost £700 more each. An additional charge of £1,035 will buy the customer an automatic transmission version of the 1.8VVT engine variant.
