Tushek Renovatio T500

The new Tushek Renovatio T500 uses an Audi 4.2-litre V8 to do it's lightweight, racy business

It's a car that's not yet a household name but all that may change after it makes its British debut next month at Salon Prive 2012. It's the Tushek Renovatio T500 Super Car from little-known Slovenian company Tushek, a company founded by racing driver Aljos Tushek.

Will this one fulfill his company philosophy of "pure, direct, sensual driving experience and user-friendly performance and handling." We'll have to take it for a spin to make sure but the specs certainly make it sound "direct" and "sensual".

It is powered by an Audi-sourced 4.2-litre 444bhp V8 engine, it does 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and has a top speed of 193mph. It may also tick the "user-friendly" box as it's designed for road and track.

There's just one small hitch - these made-to-order cars are priced at £234,500. But, hey, Aljos didn't say anything about "bargain". Sigh. We'll just have to try not to drool into our Pommery when Salon Prive comes to London on September 5.
