Hiring a Toyota hybrid made easy

When you're hiring a car, the choices are usually made based on things like price, whether you need a little runaround or perhaps a van for moving house or something plush to make a grand entrance, and manual or automatic - but now eco-friendliness has also become a consideration for customers in the car rental market.

Europcar has pounced on the growing demand for hybrid hire cars and to that end, they've added 100 Toyota Yaris hybrid cars to their fleet. With frugal fuel economy and emissions at just 79g/km, the Yaris hybrid is a cheap car for renters to fill up and it will not be subjected to new, tougher London Congestion Charge rules. Did you know that later this year, the emissions for Congestion Charge-exempt cars will be down to 80g/km of CO2?

Subject to availability, the Yaris hybrid will become an option at all Europcar hire outlets across the UK. As well as providing a cleaner, greener option, the addition of hybrids to rental fleets is a great way to raise awareness on environmentally friendly motoring. Indeed, it might lead to more people deciding on a hybrid for their next car buy.
