Two new models join the Toyota Yaris hybrid range. Hybrid motoring is getting cheaper...
Not content with doing a deal with Europcar to provide eco-friendly Yaris hybrids for rental, Toyota has also launched two new versions of the popular small car on the UK market for summer. They are the Edition and Trend versions and they come with some upgraded style features.
Edition adds 15-inch smoke-finished, machined alloys, front fog lights, rear privacy glass, a tacho, chrome rear trim, leather-trimmed gear knob, and body-coloured wing mirrors and door handles to the T2 spec. It comes in three- and five-door versions. It is powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine and is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Manual air-conditioning can be added as an option. It is priced from £11,695.
The Trend is based on the SR spec and adds 16-inch smoke-finished, machined alloys, rear privacy glass and a chrome tailpipe trim to the mix. Also available with either three of five doors, the Trend is powered by a 1.33-litre petrol engine which is mated again to the five-speed manual or the option of the Multidrive S CVT transmission on the five-door version. Another option for the Trend is the Toyota Touch & Go multimedia system with sat-nav. It is priced from £13,795.
Both the Edition and the Trend feature blacked-out C-pillars which gives a floating roof effect and the paintwork is either Tyrol Silver or Floating White.
