Man Utd get Chevy on their shirts

Chevrolet on Manchester United shirts. Will it sell more cars?
It's a news story that spans from Detroit, US of A, to Manchester with a seven-year sponsorship deal being announced today between Chevrolet and Manchester United.
From the 2014/15 season and for an undisclosed sum of money, Chevrolet will be Man-U's shirt sponsor, the club's fifth shirt sponsor in 134 years, replacing Aon.
Chevy already has a relationship with the club as it is their Official Car Partner. Could this also be part of a drive by Chevrolet to make football more popular in the US? The
presence of David Beckham for the LA Galaxy certainly captured attention but it was perhaps more because of his beautiful body on billboards than his skills in the beautiful game. Ahem!
In any case, we look forward to Chevy-festooned shirts on the Man-U players - but even more than that, we'd love to see Wayne Rooney rock up to training with his beefy form stuffed into a Chevrolet Aveo! Do we dare to dream?
