You can still get yourself a Saab, via UK Saab Broker, in August
Saab Parts UK has been busily ensuring Britain's 188,000-odd Saab drivers are still able to get parts for their beloved machines even though the Swedish automaker is kaput. And now they're expanding to help people who want to buy or sell used Saabs (er, which is the only kind of Saab one can purchase these days...).
As of August, Saab Parts UK will launch a national brokering service for buying and selling used Saabs via a new part of the company; UK Saab Broker. Dealers or trade customers who want to get rid of a used Saab can contact UK Saab Broker, the broker confirms car details so that the car can be accurately marketing throughout the Saab network based on model year, specs and condition and then the brokers works to find interested buyers for the car and secure an underwrite bid. The highest bidder is then put in touch with the seller - there's a commission charge of £100 for both the buyer and seller.
Saab Parts UK already has a track record of offloading excess Saabs - in the first half of this year, they helped GMAC, the preferred source of financing for Saab, Vauxhall and Chevrolet, clear its stock of 800 used Saabs.
The Saab network is made up of 88 authorised service centres across the UK.
