Subtle yet plush: Kahn's take on the Aston Rapide

The Aston Martin Rapide, as modified by Khan. You can have just about every inch of it as bespoke as you want, basically
Regular visitors to TotallyMotor will be familiar with the work of A. Kahn Design - the cars that roll out of the workshop are typically bold, brash, sometimes bonkers, but always brilliantly bespoke. And they come at a price reserved for those with deep pockets or generous bank managers.
The latest design is their customised Aston Martin Rapide four-door but this time, it's not as obviously out there. Indeed, compared to Kahn's newly unveiled copper-toned Jeep Wrangler and Range Rover Rover Evoque, Kahn's take on the Rapide is distinctly subtle and sober. But perhaps that's the whole point - the Aston Martin buyer is certainly a
wealthy individual but they prefer a car that purrs sex appeal rather than screaming it from the rooftops.
So what have the people at Kahn done to improve an already awesome machine? Starting with the colour, it is stunning in Onyx Black - it's classy but it's never crass. The black magic continues with a matte black mesh front grille and side vent grilles, black brake calipers, sports exhaust and privacy glass.
The ride is also enhanced by a lowered suspension system to make the ride even more supple. Inside, the car has an Alcantara leather sport steering wheel and instrument binnacle. It all sits atop Kahn 21-inch wheels in platinum silver finish.
But if this particular look isn't for you, Kahn can create an interior exactly how you want it and offers the example of matching your clothes with an exterior colour to match your jeans and an interior colour to match your favourite T-shirt. Little details can be changed, right down to the colour of the clock.
In case you're in the market for a new Aston, the price for the one in the pics is £123,875.00.
