Kahn Range Rover Evoque

The new Kahn Range Rover Evoque - seen here in striking Vesuvius Copper - adds further desirability to the best-selling SUV

In a world of compact hatchbacks, low emissions, the quest for ultimate fuel economy and the quest for the ultimate family crossover-cum-sports SUV-cum-people carrier-cum-car that fits lots of suitcases, we love that Afzal Kahn exists to bring fun, frivolity and some bonkers glam to the world of motoring.

Two of the latest curiosities to roll out of the A. Kahn Design workshop are both distinctly copper-toned. There is the Kahn Evoque and Jeep, both in the sizzling shade of Vesuvius Copper.

The Evoque features new front and back bumpers, original wheels in matt grey, boot spoiler, central exhaust, fog lights, LED running lights, privacy glass, copper-coloured brake calipers, machined aluminium pedals, heated seats - oh, and it has been lowered. Inside, it's all about leather - black, quilted, perforated leather, to be precise. And copper makes its way inside the car with copper stitching on the steering wheel.

Meanwhile, a snip at £41,875 OTR, the Jeep Wrangler Military Edition has been produced by Kahn's expedition vehicles workshop, the excellently named Chelsea Truck Company. This features some pretty mean styling with an industrial mesh front grille, copper-coloured calipers (try saying that fast with a hangover...), mud flaps, carbon side wing blades, xenon crosshair headlights, stainless steel door entry sill plates, enamel wing shields, smoked black filler cap, privacy glass, heated seats, split targa roof, aluminium foot pedals and a branded rear wheel cover.

For the security-conscious (or if you fancy taking this beast on a jolly jaunt to Afghanistan this summer...), there is the option of rear windows and LED lights to be made in bullet-proof glass. Like the Evoque, the copper Jeep's interior is also a festival of quilted black leather with copper stitching and a copper finish for the centre console. The Kahn wheels are 20 inches and in smoked black, designed to fit the original centre caps.

For fun, madness and the kind of thing a lot of us would have in the garage if we could, Kahn has done it again with two more SUV beasts that are luxurious but still infectiously grin-inducing.

The Jeep Wrangler Military Edition, by Kahn, is some seriously sexy soldier transport!
