BMW M6

The new BMW M6 range will hit the hill hard at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed. That's this weekend!

The new BMW M6 Coupe and M6 Convertible will make their UK debut this week at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed. We've already waxed lyrical about them here at TotallyMotor and this should be a great chance for one of our lucky correspondents to get a closer look.

We already know about the 50:50 weight distribution, V8 turbo engine, 560bhp and 501lb-ft of torque but we can now confirm an on sale date for the UK of September 15. Perfect!

We can also reveal the UK pricing. Sit down, take a deep breath, it's £93,820 for the Coupe and £99,020 for the Convertible. A mere snip! But for that, you get a Coupe that does 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds and a Convertible not far behind, doing the same dash in 4.3 seconds.

On the super car run at Goodwood, ex-racer Tiff Needall gets to drive the Convertible while BTCC driver Tom Onslow-Cole gets to do the honours in the Convertible.

Goodwood will also be a great chance for BMW to celebrate 40 years of M magic - and with these two bad boys on show at the festival, it's pretty clear that 40 doesn't mean slowing down into middle age any time soon. Stay tuned for more about BMW and other marques at Goodwood after the weekend.
