Wasn't it just Mothers' Day? Weren't we getting bombarded with advertisements for perfumes and spa days for mum not so long ago? Now those festivities are over, it's time to start thinking about Fathers' Day. It's on June 17 this year and rather than giving him soap-on-a-rope or an Only Fools and Horses box set, why not give him something to look forward to instead (apart from you moving out of his basement if you haven't done so already).
How about tickets to the Silverstone Circuit for the Ferrari Racing Days on September 15 and 16? As a bonus, advance tickets are just £15 per person. Or you can buy them on the day for £15 a day or £20 for the whole weekend.
It's a great chance to check out cars most of us will never own. The FXX and 599XX development cars will be on track, historic Ferrari F1 cars will be on show and there will be race action from the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli and Ferrari Club Challenge.
Ferrari North Europe will be hoping to beat the Guinness World Record for Largest Parade of Ferrari Cars at 6pm on September 15. The current record is 490 but organisers are hoping for more than 500 cars this time around. Plus every car that participates in the parade will donate a fiver to BEN, the auto industry's charity.
Sounds like a hoot and at just £15, it's good to see motorsport, especially motorsport of this calibre, still being affordable to everyday punters.
