Chevrolet on Trax for Paris

The new Chevrolet Trax will compete in the ever-growing mini SUV market, and goes on public display at the Paris Motor Show in September
The Paris Motor Show is just around the corner. Hang on, it's not, it isn't on until September and we have the Olympics and the Jubilee to survive before then, but that's not stopping Chevrolet from getting in very early with a pre-Paris preview. It's the Chevrolet Trax and it's a compact SUV.
The picture Chevy has released shows a fairly handsome looking car with plenty of round edges. Obviously, details are a bit thin on the ground at this early stage but it has been confirmed that it will be sold in more than 140 countries and will arrive in European dealerships in spring 2013 after the new Chevy Malibu and Cruze station wagon hit the showrooms.
It seats five and Chevrolet is promising plenty of cargo space, a high-spec interior and plenty of genuine SUV toughness. We do know the compact SUV market is getting busier by the minute so it will be interesting to see how this one performs against more established models.
