White van men (and women...) will be able to check out the full van model range from Vauxhall at the CV Show (that's CV for "commercial vehicle"...) in Birmingham from April 24-26.
The models on show will include the Movano, Vivaro, New Combo, Astravan and Corsavan. It will be a UK show debut for the New Combo and Vauxhall will show it off in all three wheelbase and roof height combinations. They have a payload up to one tonne and a range of up to 777 miles, a massive help in this era of soaring fuel costs.
Vauxhall has also enjoyed much British success with the Vivaro model and a new addition to that range will also be on show. Additionally, the new Movano range will be on display with panel vans, passenger carriers for nine people and 17 people and new factory-finished Tipper and Dropside variants.
Making dumping stuff a breeze, the Movano Tipper has either a chassis or crew cab as well as a five-stage under-floor ram and a 50-degree tipping angle, powered by a 2kW electro-hydraulic pack connected to a remote hand-held tipping control. The Movano Dropside also has either a chassis or crew cab, a flat load platform, up to 4470mm in length and the option of a big toolbox mounted behind the cab.
It all sounds like plenty of fun - and, frankly, any vehicle that'll give us 777 miles of motoring without having to fill up is certainly worth a look.
