In Australia, they're called utes, short for utility vehicle, but elsewhere, they tend to be called pick-ups. And the latest one to hit the UK market is the Isuzu D-Max, but at this stage, all we really know is that is has sharp yet squarish headlights, it will benefit from several upgrades, it will be powered by a choice of efficient diesel engines and it will go on the market in June.
So far. all Isuzu has released in the way of visuals is a picture of a headlight - but if that's any indication, the new D-Max could well look far smarter than the average pick-up and may attract passenger car buyers as well as tradesmen and the like.
Isuzu is also promising a more refined interior, imposing exterior styling, off-road and towing capabilities and plenty of space. You can register to find out more at www.isuzu.co.uk and naturally you can follow Isuzu on Twitter at @IsuzuUK, like Isuzu UK on Facebook and subscribe to the Isuzu TV channel at YouTube. Or you can wait until next month when more specs and info will be released and we'll tell you all about it here at Totally Motor.
