Renault Twizy

The Renault Twizy all-electric vehicle will be offered in three trim levels, and is said to offer a nippy urban transport solution without the potential danger of two wheels

Times are tough but Renault UK is determined to keep the books in the black by focusing on a seven-model line-up plus their Z.E electric vehicle range. 2012 will also be the year Renault ploughs on ahead with the Dacia brand. Every model range will have three trim levels.

Renault will be withdrawing some models from sale in the UK - the Modus, Kangoo car and Compact van, Laguna and Espace. Gordini models will be no longer available to order and there will only be one version of the Twingo Renaultsport 133.

The Megane will be updated with a new look and new engines for 2012 with the 1.5-litre diesel with stop-start function as the eco-friendly star - CO2 emissions are just 90g/km and combined fuel economy is 80.7mpg.

New Twingo and Scenic models have already been announced plus there'll be a new Clio line-up - and again, Renault are promising better specs than before. The base model Clio will feature air conditioning, Bluetooth, iPod/MP3 connectivity.

The electric range will expand to three with three Twizy models and two Fluence Z.E models already available to order and the ZOE to come on to the UK market next Autumn.

Renault has also launched the Renault 4+ programme which includes a four-year/100,000-mile warranty and free servicing for four years/48,000 miles, four years free roadside assistance and four years finance if you need it.

The Renault Fluence Z.E (zero emissions) is ready to order now. Looks just like a “normal” car, eh?
