Jaguar XF

Jaguar add extra models to their XF range, the SE Business and Sport, with the SE Business using the new, entry-level 161bhp, 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine

The Jaguar XF has played a big part in the revival of the classic British marque. There were dark days for Jaguar design under Ford's ownership but now that Tata has taken the reins, the cars are looking better and better and the XF, with its solid, thumping lines is no exception. So confident is Jag that there are still people out there who can afford such luxury, that two new XF models have been launched this week, the SE Business and Sport editions.

Boasting the new 2.2-litre 161bhp diesel engine under the hood, the SE Business model, priced at £31,500 OTR, adds sat-nav with a seven-inch touchscreen and HDD mapping to the base model. The fabulous standard specs remain, including stop-start technology, a 400W sound system with DAB digital radio, leather and suedecloth seats and bi-Xenon headlights.

Meanwhile, the Sport model offers a little more grunt with a 2.2-litre 187bhp diesel engine and some lovely, streamlined design with the full aerodynamic pack that Jaguar debuted on the Diesel S. This includes a revised front bumper, a black grille element, side sill extensions, a subtle rear boot lid spoiler and a black rear valance. The interior has been upgraded for the Sport model with half leather suedecloth seats, bond grain trim and dove contrast stitch, and electric driver and passenger seat adjustment.

Tying in with the black on the exterior, there's piano black trim with 'Sport' decals on the centre console, as well as stainless steel foot pedals. But it's not just about the looks - functional additions include a heated windscreen and front seats, a front parking aid, reversing camera and 60/40 folding rear seats. It is priced at £34,950 OTR.

The order books are now open for both these XF models.
