The new-for-2012 Renault Scenic and Grand Scenic feature simplified trim specs, new and more frugal engines and new stand-out paint colours
The new, improved 2012 Renault Scenic is now available for order and it is priced from £18,325 OTR for the Scenic and from £19,725 OTR for the Grand Scenic.
There will be just the one level of trim on the Scenic and Grand Scenic and it is called Dynamique TomTom. This curiously named trim is packed with plenty of standard features and, as the name suggests, this includes Carminat TomTom Live sat-nav. Other standard features include 16-inch alloy wheels, auto lights and wipers, Bluetooth cruise control, rear parking sensors and LED daytime running lights. There has also been a makeover for the Scenic with styling updates, gloss black and chrome detailing and spruced-up rear lights. Two new body colours are on offer - Azzurro Blue and Damask Red.
Options include a new Luxe Pack for £1,500. This gives you 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, a nine-speaker BOSE Energy Efficient sound system, digital amplifier, sliding centre console, electrically folding door mirrors and the Visio System, which offers lane departure warning and automatic high/low beam headlight function. Hill Start Assist is also optional.
Two new engines will be debuting in the Scenic 2012 line-up: a 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.5-litre dCi diesel with stop-start function. The diesel offers fuel economy of 68.9mpg on the combined cycle and CO2 emissions are just 105g/km.
From February 1, the Scenic is eligible for the new Renault 4+ programme worth £900. This package includes a four-year/100,000 mile warranty, free routine servicing for four years/48,000 miles, four years roadside cover and up to four years finance.
