Rare Fisker could be yours!

Rather than kicking the tyres in used car yards, there's another way to get your hands on a secondhand car next month without risking a close encounter with an Arthur Daly type. On January 10, a massive auction will be held by Lex Autolease and BCA at the Bedford Centre and the star buy is surely the Fisker Tramonto.

It is the only right-hand drive version of this car in existence and one of only 15 ever built. Its original retail price was more than US$250,000 but if the bidding is slow - and who knows what might happen in these tough economic times - you could get this awesome Californian performance car for a song. The colour is called Titanium Quartz Metalli and the Italian leather interior isn't just two shades of beige - it's two-tone Sand.

If someone outbids you on the Fisker, there are 400 end-of-lease cars going under the hammer ranging in age from near-new to five years old. Among the other cars on offer, there will be a Hummer, a Porsche Cayenne, a BMW 650 Sport, a Range Rover Sport, an Audi Q5, an Audi Q7 and a Jaguar XKR.
