Electric Kangoo, how do you do?

The Renault Kangoo Van Z.E runs only on electric power and it's coming to a town near you. Z.E-haa!
The Renault Kangoo Van Z.E is here - a handy little van where the Z.E stands for "zero emissions". There will be 21 electric vehicle sites across the UK to sell the new Kangoo, offer test drives in a demonstrator vehicle and offer after-sales service and advice on how to get the most out of these vans. Battery hire plans will be available.
As well as the demonstrator car, the sites will have a charging point in the car park for all customers to use. These have been provided by British Gas. Renault is also offering prospective Kangoo drivers live text chats and video guides via the magic of the internet at www.renault-ze.com so they can truly get their head around the daily realities of running an electric vehicle.
Your correspondent took one of these fun little vans for a test drive at Ecovelocity in September and it was so much fun, I can see why you might buy one even if you didn't have a business that required vans. It was dead easy to drive and park, felt solid and sturdy and there was a nice elevated driving position. The only drawback would be that every time a friend moved house, you'd surely be roped in to help as there was plenty of cargo space in the back.
