The new Citroen C3 White and Black special editions. It's pretty obvious which one's which
Citroen and Nissan have both announced special editions of popular models with a distinctly black and white theme all round. Citroen has launched the C3 Black and C3 White while Nissan has launched two new Micras with a similarly monochromatic theme.
The Citroen C3 Black and White replace the 1.4i VT model and goes on sale on New Year's Day, 2012. There's ABS braking, electronic brakeforce distribution, variable power steering, four airbags and an indicator to let you know the optimum time to shift gears. Extra specs include air conditioning, 16-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, white dashboard and wing mirrors, chrome insert on the bumper and body-coloured door handles.
Both models only come with a manual transmission, fuel economy at 47.1mpg and CO2 emissions are at 139g/km.
The White is priced at £11,990 and the Black is priced at £12,430.
Nissan, meanwhile, has added the Kuro and Shiro grades to their popular Micra line-up. They're available to order now and priced from £11,550. Kuro is the black Micra - Sapphire Black, a brand new metallic shade, to be precise and Shiro comes in two shades of white, Pearl and Alabaster. In case you were wonderig, Kuro is Japanese for black and Shiro is Japanese for white - see what they did there?
Both variants feature an ivory-effect dashboard and light-coloured seat trim. Equipment on board includes parking sensors with a cool parking space measurement feature and heated front seats. For an extra £400, you can get Nissan Connect, a sat-nav system thrown in.
Both Micra engines and transmissions are on offer with the Kuro and Shiro editions. There's a 1.2-litre normally aspirated engine and a new supercharged powerplant, both with either a manual or CVT automatic gearbox.
