Design your Porsche online!

Make your new 911 all yours with hundreds of possible 3D configurations. But go easy on the purple; you might have to sell it!
This weekend the stunning new Porsche 911 Carrera goes on sale across the UK and to coincide with the launch, Porsche fans can go online and design their perfect car. The winning design - selected at random - will become a reality and while the winner won't be able to keep it, they will be invited to the Porsche Experience at Silverstone to give their creation a serious thrashing around the famous track next summer. Just make sure you get your design in before midnight on January 31, 2012.
The car configurator on www.porsche.co.uk uses 3D computer modelling so you can get a really good idea of what your dream Porsche might look like even if you can never quite afford it yourself.
But if you can afford the new 911 Carrera, it is priced from £71,449, with the Carrera S from £81,242. Standard equipment includes a lovely leather interior, sports seats, automatic climate control, Bi-Xenon headlights, colour touch-screen Porsche Communication Management with satellite navigation, audio interface with MP3 connectivity and Porsche Stability Management. Every Porsche 911 Carrera comes with a vehicle tracking system to make it easier to find the toerags if it's nicked as well a complimentary course at the Porsche Experience Centre.
If you spunk the extra £10,000 or so on the Carrera S, you'll get 20-inch alloy wheels, Porsche Active Suspension Management and Porsche Torque Vectoring with rear limited slip differential, as well as a bigger 3.8-litre engine.
It all sounds mighty fine - although we humble servants at TotallyMotor will be quickly getting online so we can enter the winning design and flog that bad boy around Silverstone without hurting our bank accounts.
