Skoda shows off its new vision

The Skoda VisionD. Babe not included.
The covers came off Skoda's VisionD concept car at the Geneva Motor Show back in March, but just in case you missed it, the VW-owned Czech automaker has released some more photos of it and it’s looking very much like a production-ready vehicle.
Created to herald a new design direction for future Skodas, the VisionD features a long wheelbase, short overhangs and a modular interior. It has a strong four-door coupe shape, which has become very popular across a wide range of models with hints of Mercedes C-class, Porsche Panamera, Audi A5 Sportback and Citroen DS5 all in evidence.
Other features include a panoramic glass roof, pop-out door handles and frameless doors. It is one of the better looking Skodas so here’s hoping that there isn’t too much costing down if it goes into production and plenty of these cool features remain in place.
We’ll keep a close eye on this one and see if Skoda decides to develop a powertrain that matches the solid, sporty looks of this rather appealing concept car.
