Sporty Honda concept for Detroit

It's concept car time for Honda at the Detroit Motor Show next month. Looking groovy so far
Just as we're recovering from a busy 2011 of motor show madness, we're now getting sneak peeks at what to expect on the stands at next month's North American International Auto Show. That'd be the big kahuna show in Detroit. Honda has already told us they will reveal four new cars in Motor City and one of them will be a concept version of the next Acura NSX super car.
The NSX will offer some pretty cool clues as to what direction Honda will take with its sports cars with this one being a compact sports sedan - sounds like a nice mix of fun and practicality but all will be revealed next month. The Acura ILX Concept will also be on display and this promises to be a genre-crossing number - it will be a luxury car and a compact sedan all in one and it's scheduled for launch next spring. One of the powertrains for the ILX will be a gas-electric hybrid, a first for Honda.
A prototype Acura RDX for 2013 will also be on show - this will be the second generation of Acura's five-person SUV.
The Honda Accord keeps on keeping on and there will be a new version of this stalwart on display in Detroit too. This one will show off the new design direction for the US Accord and should give us a few hints as to what sort of Accords we will see on roads closer to home in the future as well.
Super-keen Honda fans will be able to see the unveiling of the three new Acuras live online on January 9 at 2:45pm US Eastern Time at this handy link: www.acuranews.com and the Honda press conference on January 10 will also be broadcast live via webcast at 9:50am US Eastern Time on www.hondanews.com/live/2012naias.
