Happy catty - the faster and smarter, new Jaguar XJ Sport and Speed packs
So you’re in the market for a Jaguar XJ saloon. While you’re at it, you may as well add one of two new option packs. The Sport Pack adds some cool touches to the interior and exterior and they’re available on all variants except the XJ SC 510PS. Meanwhile, the Speed Pack is exclusive to supercharged models with the exterior Sport Pack and it raises the electronically limited top speed from 155mph to 174mph. Both packs are available on long and standard wheelbase models.
To boost the power with the Speed Pack, the Jaguar engineers recalibrated the engine management system, reworked the software for the virtual instrument display and adjusted the tyre pressure monitoring system to take into account the heat generated by sustained high-speed motoring.
The Sport Pack touches include a more aerodynamic design to improve performance and efficiency, 20-inch alloy wheels (the wheel design is called “Venom”) and red-painted brake calipers with Jaguar script and options include sports seats in the front and back and the extra interior trim choices mean a wider range of combinations with colour and veneers.
Other cosmetic additions include split twin exhaust pipes and a gloss black mesh finish on the grille, lower air opening and side vents.
Inside, the Sport Pack offers soft grain leather sports seats with a wide range of adjustment and two colour choices - Jet Over Jet and Jet Over Ivory. Interior trim options include Piano Black trim and carbon fibre.
