The all-new for 2012 Chevrolet Aveo hits dealers in January 2012 with prices starting under £10k
With hatchbacks being the preferred car body type amongst Brits, according to research by ContractHireAndLeasing.com, there probably is room in the market for another cute, economical little runaround. Cue the all-new Chevrolet Aveo which will arrive in dealerships in January 2012, priced from £9,995 OTR.
There will be four engines on offer - the 1.2-litre 85bhp petrol, the 1.4-litre 100bhp petrol and two 1.3-litre diesels, one with 74bhp and one with 94bhp. A five-speed manual gearbox is standard and the 1.4-litre models have the option of a six-speed automatic, a nifty option for an affordable small car.
The base 1.2-litre LS model has sharpened design which can be seen across the whole line-up. Features on the base variant include remote locking, a rear spoiler, radio/CD player, electrically adjustable heated wing mirrors and electric front windows.
For £10,995 OTR, the LT model adds 15-inch alloy wheels, steering wheel audio controls, a four-way adjustable driver’s seat, sunglasses holder, a useful-sounding Driver Information Centre, Bluetooth compatibility and a chrome gear knob surround.
At the top end, priced from a still-reasonable £12,195, is the LTZ trim, which includes a leather steering wheel, front fog lamps, rear parking sensors and automatic headlights.
Full specs and kit will be confirmed closer to the January launch.
