VW’s 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show mega-stand

The 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show opens its doors next week and with around 70 new models and debuts on the cards it looks to be one of the biggest and best of these recently tighter times. And VW has pushed the show-boat out in some serious style with what can only be described as a mega-stand.

Here’s a model of how the huge stand will look; it’s peppered with more than 50 vehicles over its 8,893 square metre space and is wired with an incredible 80kms of cable and a sun-shaming 2,100 lamps.

The cloud-shaped show stand will no doubt feature plenty to see and do from the world of VW, and new car fans will be wanting to see the new up! city car which is making its public debut along with the recently unveiled new generation Beetle, new Tiguan and Golf Cabriolet. The NILS single-seat electric commuting vehicle will also be making its world premiere.
