The Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 goes on sale soon - a sub-100g/km CO2 crossover can soon be yours
Peugeot is now taking pre-orders in the UK for the 3008 HYbrid4, a full diesel hybrid.
The ecologically sound crossover features four driving modes. Performance offers 200bhp, dynamic handling and four-wheel drive, High Sensations gives smooth power delivery and a silent electric mode for zero emissions, especially when you’re stuck in city traffic, Low Emissions offers CO2 emissions of 99g/km and fuel economy of 74mpg and Driver Choice lets you adapt the car for all driving conditions.
It also does the 0-62mph dash in 8.8 seconds - not too bad at all for a hybrid. Standard equipment includes a stop-start function, multi-arm rear suspension, traction control (which is even more effective if you go for the optional “Mud and Snow” tyres), energy regeneration from braking, park assist and an electronic handbrake.
Because of all the green goodness, cash can be saved not only through miserly fuel economy but also through reduced VED and benefit-in-kind taxation and an exemption from the London Congestion Charge.
The 3008 HYbrid4 limited edition version has already sold out but there are two other models on sale for British drivers. The one with 99g/km CO2 emissions is priced at £26,995 and the 104g/km model is £28,495.
