First look at (some of) the new 2012 Honda Civic

A fairly incredible nine generations later and it’s time to take a look at some of the latest Honda Civic, ahead of its full reveal at the coming Frankfurt Motor Show.

As you can see, for the moment details and pics are scant, but we do know that the all-new Civic has been painstakingly engineered for comfort and economy, as well as involving driving dynamics and extra inner space. Time will tell if the Honda engineers have managed to achieve this difficult combination.

So what do we think of this new rear-end so far? Has a little of the out-going car’s look with sweeping curves mixing with sharp angles again. On the official Honda tip, I can reveal that this here picture features “a rear combination light that works as an aerodynamic spoiler, managing air flow over the top and sides of the car.” Pretty nifty indeed.
