Jaguar has given us a taste of what we can look forward to on their stand at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show with the release of a sketch of the C-X16 concept.
We’ll be able to look at it properly when the covers come off on September 13 but in the meantime, we’ll just have to lust over the elegant, sleek lines of the sketch.
For now, we can tell you the design team was headed by Jag’s design director Ian Callum and it is the fine work of the same team that produced the XJ, XF and XK so we can be pretty confident of another stunner. Adrian Hallmark, the global brand director, says it will have “depth of design and engineering ability.”
“Great Jaguars have always been beautiful, innovative and have looked firmly to the future,” says Callum. “The finished C-X16 concept has the potential to do these things while retaining the ability to surprise, to excite and invigorate.”
Here’s hoping that once we get to have a good old snoop around the C-X16 at Frankfurt, they’ll then entrust TotallyMotor with a set of keys and we too can be surprised, excited and invigorated. (Sounds like stumbling onto a nudist beach! – Ed.)
Catty, but in a good way
