First glimpse of the Subaru XV

Details of the all-new Subaru XV are sketchy. Literally sketchy. All we have so far is a wispy designer’s sketch of a headlight, wheel and fender to give us an idea of what the Subaru XV will look like.
The European specification XV will be unveiled in its entirety at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month, with the big event running from September 13-25. What we can tell you so far is that the XV is a crossover that was well-received when it was revealed in concept form at the Auto Shanghai Motor Show in April. It is hoped that the distinctive Subaru design elements and strong stance will remain - and if the sketch is any indication, this will be the case.
We can also tell you the XV will use Subaru’s legendary all-wheel-drive technology and it is due to go on sale in the UK in early 2012. Stay tuned for more information next month on Subaru’s assault on this highly competitive segment.
