New Twingo sneak peek

This pulsing purple Renault Twingo shows Renault's new design direction
Details right now are about as scanty as the contents of Jordan’s underwear drawer but the good people at Renault have very kindly released a single picture of the new Twingo before it is properly launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show on September 13.
This little hatchback, seen here in a particularly quirky shade of purple, is the first mass production car to be inspired by Renault’s new design language. The front end has an open-mouthed grille but the design is not as complicated as the Peugeot piehole. Meanwhile, the Renault logo on the bonnet has been boldly enlarged and centred in a more upright position.
Overall, the lines are clean and simple and it will be interesting to see what impact the new look will have on customers on the hunt for a small economical hatchback.
There are no details available yet as to what we can expect under the new-look bonnet but chances are, it will be fuel-efficient and CO2 emissions will be ever-decreasing. We’ll keep you posted once we’ve checked it out at Frankfurt in September.
