Hit the asphalt in a Peugeot RCZ Asphalt

It has a slight touch of the Audi TTs but the Peugeot RCZ Asphalt is pushing home the French flair
It has been a big week for limited editions and now Peugeot is getting in on the act with the exclusive RCZ “Asphalt” edition. Only 75 right-hand drive versions are being made for the UK markets, the price is £29,995 and the order books are now open so it’s first in, first served.
Powered by the 200bhp petrol engine, the RCZ Asphalt is all about high-spec GT trim and French good looks such as the special matt Telluric grey bodywork (as an aside, naming colours for cars has got to be an amusing job).
Along with the matt exterior and black roof, there are exclusive badges, 19-inch black alloy wheels with the excellent name of “Solstice” and matching black brake callipers.
Inside, there’s plenty of lovely Nappa leather and an Alcantara-and-leather steering wheel and gearstick and the sill covers and floor mats get a new look just for this edition.
It may not be the biggest car on the road but you still don’t want to be reversing it into a pole at the shopping centre either so there are front and rear parking aids. There is also automatic lighting with two intriguing modes - “approach” and, curiouser still, “follow me home”.
Peugeot Connect Media Navigation is standard too, perhaps so you don’t get lost when someone is following you home, and you can keep the neighbours awake with a top-of-the-line JBL sound system. Hurry if you fancy this pretty Pug.
