Lexus LFA at the 'ring and Goodwood

The rarely seen road-going Lexus LFA is an incredible combination of high-tech sexy and pure aggression. Don't get too close at the Goodwood Festival of Speed
The LFA, the stunning performance car by Lexus, will be on show at the Goodwood Festival of Speed from June 30 to July 3, courtesy of Gazoo Racing.
Its appearance at Goodwood will be hot on the heels of Gazoo racing it at the Nurburgrng 24 Hours endurance race this weekend. Andre Lotterer, a member of the winning team at this year’s Le Mans, will be at the wheel.
The Nurburgring race will be the fourth time the LFA, with its 9,500rpm redline and carbon fibre monocoque, has competed at the legendary German circuit.
Priced at an eye-popping £343,000, the first one was delivered to Britain last month, making an appearance at the Supercar Sunday Breakfast Club at Goodwood. But with only 500 being made, sightings of this 552bhp, V10 beast will be few and far between in the UK so its second Goodwood appearance should draw the crowds.
As well as the showstopping LFA, Toyota and Lexus will have plenty of other attractions at Goodwood. Thierry Boutsen will be again driving the Toyota GT-One car from Le Mans of 1999 and Frank Wrathall will be in action in the 2011 BTCC Avensis.
Harking back to Toyota’s awesome sportscars of the 70s, 80s and 90s, former British rally champion Jonny Milner will return to the hillclimb in his 800bhp Sprint Series Celica.
For rally fans, the multiple-Dakar-winning Land Cruiser V8 will be on show at the Forest Rally stage of proceedings as well as Toyota rally stars from decades gone by.
And if you fancy seeing something that’s not exactly speedy but is certainly clean, green and economical, Toyota is also using Goodwood for the first UK public appearance of the full hybrid Yaris HSD concept.

The Lexus LFA in full-on racecar trim from Gazoo Racing will be at Goodwood, fresh (or not so fresh!) from the Nurburgrng 24 Hours endurance race this weekend
