Skoda Octavia from £10,995

Skoda’s is offering their multi-award winning Octavia hatchback with a 25 per cent discount, at £10,995 on the road; or from £149 per month with Skoda Finance. The offer only applies to 1.6 MPI SE specification cars and represents a saving of £3,735 off the usual sticker price. But, the offer is limited to 2,000 cars nationwide, available from dealers now.

Standard equipment includes 15-inch alloys wheels, ABS (anti-lock brakes), airbags, air-conditioning, front and rear electric windows, a touch screen stereo with six-CD changer, a trip computer and electric heated door mirrors. Interior space is decent, the boot can hold 585-litres of luggage, and up to 1455-litres with the rear seats folded down. 

The 1.6 MPI’s 1.6-litre, 101bhp petrol engine obviously isn’t aimed at the performance market, and while it does return a respectable economy figure of 51.4mpg on the combined cycle, at 166g/km CO2 this Octavia does slip into the Band H tax bracket, costing £99 for six months road tax.
