Toyota has announced that it will be returning to the mini-MPV market next year in the UK with the launch of its Verso S, which is to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show this month.
The company, which will be celebrating a decade of full hybrid technology while also revealing details of its new Prius Plug-in Hybrid, has revealed that the all-new Verso S model arrive in the UK early in 2011.
Claiming its newest release to be "small, spacious and smart", the Verso S "is an object lesson in space management", Toyota says, despite having the shortest overall length of any B-segment MPV in Europe at less than four metres.
It has asserted that attention to detail and a "practical, flexible interior design" have allowed the carmaker to maximise space, comfort and quality.
Jerry Garrett of the New York Times recently scrutinised the Prius Plug-in Hybrid, noting that while its 14-mile range in all-electric mode was useless in long-distance journeys, it is perfect for small trips around the city and good value for a three-hour charge on a domestic plug socket.
