Following the brand's British launch in September 1985, SEAT is happy to report that 25 years after its entry into the UK market, things are going strong for the Spanish brand.
After nearly 500,000 sales to its name, SEAT is proud to announce that after quarter of a century, it has developed a strong and growing market share, which is now running at a record 1.6 per cent.
It claims that its success - which has not been dampened in the long-term by the financial downturn - is down to an "enthusiastic band of loyal customers" as well as its plans to expand its sales further.
SEAT UK boss Peter Wyhinny could not contain his excitement for the coming months and years with the company and said: "It's been an exciting, eventful and above all successful first 25 years for SEAT in the UK.
"With almost half a million cars registered here over that time, and with an exciting range of new models in the pipeline, I truly believe there's never been a better time to be associated with the brand."
SEAT is now owned by the Volkswagen Group, which also controls Audi, Skoda, Lamborghini and Bugatti, among others.
