Lexus launches hybrid with variable driving modes

Lexus has announced that it is to launch the CT 200h, a car that is to offer different driving modes with its special Hybrid Drive.
The luxury car company has asserted that its full hybrid drive technology has been taken to a "new level" in the new offering, which is directly targeting the small luxury car market.
Lexus has maintained that the patented Hybrid Drive allows the brand to continue providing the "smoothness, refinement and high efficiency" that it is known for, though the choice of driving styles will let drivers gain "full dynamic potential" or achieve a more eco-friendly performance.
The so-called "moods" of driving offered - Dynamic and Relaxing - use a 1.8-litre VVT-i petrol engine and electric motor respectively.
It follows the launch of the new IS range from Lexus, which promised the most significant changes to the line-up since its creation in 2005.
