BMW 3 Series awarded in car poll
The BMW 3 Series has been named the most desirable car by motors.co.uk.
It received the most searches every year between 2007 and 2009 to scoop the award, despite being launched more than 30 years ago.
The BMW 5 Series continued the manufacturer's success, receiving the award for top executive car, while the top 4x4 was the Honda CR-V, the Vauxhall Corsa was named best for a first car and the Ford Focus won top hatch.
"With the new 10'plate set to be introduced on March 1st, there will be a surge in new car sales but the high number of part exchanges will also see more used cars on the market - making it the ideal time to get a great deal on a used car," commented Katie Wardle, marketing manager for the website.
Motorists buying a new car should consider visibility from behind the wheel, as Which Car? magazine has highlighted that seeing through windscreens and windows is becoming harder.
