Skoda Superb Estate crowned Fifth Gear's Family Car of the Year, 2011
Skoda's Superb Estate model has been awarded the honour of Family Car of the Year from the judges at the Five motoring show Fifth Gear.
The manufacturer's overall market share has also jumped to more than two per cent, while this new accolade represents the 20th award that Skoda has received this year.
Fifth Gear presenter, Jonny Smith, said: "Honestly, if you're a dad and you need a car to carry all the flotsam and jetsam that comes with it, this is the car you need. It's faultless. I love it."
Mr Smith also asserted that the vehicle is the "greatest estate ever", due to its combination of space, speed, refinement, value and comfort.
Meanwhile, the Fifth Gear team also handed out an award for the Small Car of the Year, which was won by Citroen's DS3 super-mini.
This award follows on from the car receiving an honour from Top Gear magazine, where it claimed both the Small Car of the Year and the Car of the Year accolades.
